DAME OF THE WEST IS TURNING 8!

December 6 – December 7

It’s celebration time again—Dame of the West is officially turning 8!
We’re kicking off the festivities on Saturday, December 6th starting at 12pm, and you’re invited to come hang out, celebrate, and snag a fresh new tattoo.

Our artists will be releasing HUNDREDS of event-exclusive flash designs, ranging from $100–$300, available only during the anniversary weekend. Whether you’re after something bold, tiny, funny, spooky, or classic, there will be flash options for every style.

This year, we’re also giving back to the community. We will be accepting donations for a local food bank and hosting a toy drive through the end of the year.
Every donation counts as an entry into our raffle, where you could win shop swag, gift cards, and more. (Donation guidelines & item specifics will be posted soon.)

To make the day even sweeter, we’ll have coffee and pastries from some of our local favorites, including @proofbread and @copperstarcoffee. Come early, grab a treat, and enjoy the vibes!

Stay tuned for more updates and follow each artist for sneak peeks of this year's flash. Thank you all for eight amazing years of support—we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

THE ULTIMATE WALK-IN GUIDE: How to Prep for Getting a Tattoo at an Event

Walk-in tattoo events are exciting, high-energy, and packed with incredible art—but they also move fast. Here’s your go-to guide to make sure you’re fully prepared for Dame Day:

1. Arrive Early

Flash events fill up quickly. Showing up early gives you the best selection of designs and the shortest wait. Doors open at 12pm—lining up a bit before is always a good idea.

2. Know What You Want (But Stay Flexible)

Flash events are about choosing from pre-drawn designs.
✔ Browse your favorite artists’ socials ahead of time
✔ Save screenshots of designs that catch your eye
✔ Be open to similar alternatives—popular designs may move fast

3. Bring Valid ID

No ID = no tattoo. Make sure to bring a government-issued photo ID.

4. Eat & Hydrate Before You Get Tattooed

Your body handles tattooing better when you’re fed and hydrated. Luckily, we’ll have pastries and coffee on-site—but don’t arrive on an empty stomach.

5. Dress Comfortably

Choose clothing that gives artists easy access to the area you want tattooed. Layers are your friend.

6. Bring Cash (If Possible)

Not mandatory, but faster. Flash prices run $100–$300.
You may also want cash for:
• tipping your artist
• donating to the food or toy drive
• raffle entries
• merch or snacks

7. Expect a Line & Enjoy the Experience

Flash events are community-driven and fun—you’ll meet other collectors, see finished tattoos in real-time, and vibe with the shop. We’ll keep the energy high and the process smooth.

8. Take Care of Your New Tattoo

You’ll receive aftercare instructions, but here’s the quick rundown:
• Keep it clean
• Avoid sun, pools, and sweating heavily
• Moisturize lightly
• Don’t pick!
